Our Programs
We offer a free after-school program during the fall, winter, and spring terms of the academic school year. In 2020, we began to offer summer programming to our students and weekend excursions year-round for their families to participate in outdoor activities with them. We are currently serving George Middle School, Parkrose Middle School, and Roseway Heights Middle School through the SUN Program.
Program Activities
We provide both outdoor and physical activities as well as classroom curriculum focused on four themes: leadership, teamwork, trust, and risk-taking. Each term our students are able to apply the life-skills from our classroom curriculum into an action sport or outdoor activity.
In 1972, Title IX opened the door for women and girls to participate in sports, free from discrimination. However, many cisgender girls, female-identifying and non-binary youth in our Portland community lack access to sports. Betties360 carries the torch forward and provides opportunities for youth to try sports and outdoor activities and step out of their comfort zones in a supportive environment.

We form partnerships with other organizations to provide a variety of outdoor activities and excursions. Our current partners include the Audubon Society of Portland, Columbia Slough Watershed Council, Lumberyard Indoor Bike Park, Mazamas, and Post 58. We welcome the opportunity to work with new partners, reach out to us if you think your organization would be a good fit.
